MR. OLUGBOLAHAN MARK-GEORGE

Olugbolahan Mark-George, is a well-seasoned strategy and business development guru with over 25 years multi-sector experience in microfinance, private equity, venture capital, international finance, insurance, and investment management. Mr. Mark-George’s experience encompasses multiple industries and programs/projects within the development sector (WB Group, USAID, DFID UK, GIZ, UN) and corporate sector, advising on organisational investment strategies and implementing successful business plans.

Mr. Mark-George’s past experience includes being the founding CEO of MicroCred Microfinance Bank Nigeria, a subsidiary of MicroCred SA Paris – an international investment company; Country Director of GroFin Nigeria; Head of Financial Advisory, First Funds Limited; and Head of Investment Management at Ventures & Trusts. Before working in Nigeria, OMG worked as a Divisional Director of Willis Faber & Dumas Ltd, a UK based Lloyd’s broker.

Mr. Mark-George has senior-level leadership expertise and knowledge in the fields of women’s economic empowerment, climate finance, Micro Small & Medium Enterprise finance, renewable energy, agribusiness, sustainable housing development, governance and resource mobilization in developing countries. He draws from his experience working with international governments, leading private sector firms, public and private financial institutions, and international development agencies to provide successful advisory services.
