Dr. Tola Kasali is the Group Chairman of Odu’a Investment Company Limited. He suceeded Otunba Bimbo Ashiru as Group Chairman in July 2026.
His appointment was announced at the Company’s 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Friday, 26 June, 2026, where shareholders were informed of the Group’s outstanding financial performance, including a record Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₦23.58 billion, representing one of the strongest performances in the Company’s history.
Dr. Kasali has served as a Director on the Board of Odu’a Investment Company Limited since 2022, following his nomination by the Lagos State Government. A seasoned medical practitioner, public administrator and accomplished leader, Dr. Kasali obtained his medical degree from the State Medical Institute, Zaporozhye, Ukraine (formerly USSR), in 1980. He subsequently served as the Proprietor and Medical Director of Fatimah Memorial Hospital and Maternity Home, Ebute Metta, before transitioning into public service.
In 1999, he was elected Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Council, where he earned widespread recognition for his developmental initiatives and transformative leadership. His distinguished public service career continued with appointments as Commissioner for Rural Development (2003–2006), where he spearheaded major rural infrastructure initiatives across Lagos State; Commissioner for Health (2006); and Commissioner for Special Duties (2007–2011).
During his tenure as Commissioner for Special Duties, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Safety Commission, institutions that have become critical pillars of emergency management and public safety in Lagos State.
Dr. Kasali has received several recognitions for his outstanding contributions to public service and grassroots development. He is happily married and blessed with children.
