On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Board and Management of ODU’A Investment Company Limited (OICL) hosted a media parley at Cocoa House, Ibadan. This strategic engagement showcased OICL’s renaissance as a forward-looking conglomerate committed to enhancing its legacy for future generations.
The parley was attended by OICL’s board members, led by Otunba Bimbola Ashiru, OICL Group Chairman with Mr. Abdulrahman Yinusa, OICL’s GMD/CEO; Chief Segun Ojo, Group Director; Barrister Seni Adio, SAN, Group Director; Otunba lai oriowo, Group Director; Otunba ‘Debola Osibogun, Independent Group Director and Mr. Yemi Ajao, OICL’s Group Chief Investment and Business Development Officer.
Also in attendance were the Managing Directors of some OICL subsidiaries, including ESV Bashir Oladunni, MD of Wemabod Limited; Dr. Wole Odetayo, MD of SouthWest Innovation & Tech Co. Ltd (SWIT); and Dr. Theo Adewale ONADEKO, the MD of SWAgCo Limited, who was represented by Mr. Omoyemi Akande, GMof Westlink Agriculture. The strategic partner for the Premier Hotel redevelopment was represented by Mr. Segun Layode. Key management staff of OICL, including Mrs. Abiola Ajayi, Engr. Sangobiyi Andrew, Mr. Olukayode Olutimayin, and Mr. Victor Ayetoro were also in attendance.
During the parley, the Board and Management of OICL shared comprehensive updates on the impressive transformation OICL has undergone in recent years, highlighting key achievements, ongoing projects, and plans aimed at positioning OICL as a leading conglomerate in Nigeria.
The Managing Directors of Wemabod Limited, SWAgCo Limited, and SouthWest Innovation & Tech Co. Ltd also showcased their accomplishments and ongoing projects in their respective sectors of real estate, agriculture, and digital technology.
Following the media interaction, there was a tour of the renovated 21st floor of Cocoa House, the upgraded reception area, car parks, and surroundings of Cocoa House.
The highlight of the tour was a visit to the ongoing redevelopment site of Premier Hotel, located on Mokola Hill in Ibadan. The redevelopment project, which is a Joint venture, is part of OICL’s efforts to revitalize its existing assets. The Board and Management were joined by Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, the Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde. He expressed delight at the progress and potential impact of the Premier Hotel project.
The media parley and project tour concluded on a high note, with the media participants expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with OICL’s leadership and witness firsthand the transformative projects being undertaken by OICL.
