Executive Director

Adekemi is a finance executive, strategist and business leader with over 17 years in senior leadership roles across her 30 years of experience in Finance, Strategy, Consulting and Telecommunications. She is results driven and has built a reputation for professionalism, execution, tenacity and integrity. Her breadth of experience includes managing relationships with banks, investment firms, Development Finance Institutions, corporates, domestic and international investors.

Adekemi was educated in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. She graduated from Imperial College, London with an Upper Second in Biochemistry and is a UK qualified Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) as well as a Globally Certified Management Accountant (GCMA). She has extensive experience from working across investment banking, oil and gas, consulting, construction, insurance and telecommunications in Nigeria and the UK.

Adekemi’s early professional career was forged with two international blue-chip companies: Exxon Mobil, where she trained as an accountant and Morgan Stanley, where she worked in investment management and managed foreign exchange risk. Upon returning to Nigeria, she gained further invaluable experience working in senior and executive management positions with firms such as Chapel Hill Denham, Etisalat and UNIC Asset Management. She has experience working with regulators, auditors and tax authorities. Her areas of expertise are in Corporate Finance, Financial and Strategic Management, Financial Markets and Project Management.

Prior to joining OICL, Adekemi was a Director at Chapel Hill Denham where she has acted as Finance Executive as well as financial and strategic adviser to banks, insurers, aviation and telecoms companies on capital raising in domestic and international markets, financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions and capital restructurings. She also worked on numerous business architecture projects to increase operational efficiency, automation and productivity
